Smells like Barbecue

A great deal of Southern California is currently burning to the ground, but so far, no fires have gotten out of control within the San Fernando Valley. Glen is home from school today because College of the Canyons is caught between a couple of big fires, and Evan has had to share his school with a bunch of horses, since Pierce College is the large-animal evacuation center for the area. Other than that, we've only experienced smoky skies and surprisingly light traffic on local freeways. We are surrounded by high fire-danger areas, though, so another exploding transformer or careless resident, and we could have founder's circle seats for a conflagratory spectacle.
